NewXvive

Own stockThe Xvive U35D is not a microphone: it is two pairs of modules that make the microphone you already have wireless. A transmitter plugs into the base of the mic, the receiver into the desk input, and the cable disappears. The same applies to an SM58, to a room mic, or to a press-conference capsule.
It works in the 5.8 GHz band, which at a wedding is far emptier than the 2.4 GHz where the venue Wi-Fi, a hundred and fifty guests’ phones and the wireless DMX lighting all live. Six selectable channels, 24-bit audio and up to 30 metres with nothing in the way; the battery holds about five hours, which covers a ceremony and the whole dinner.
The detail that makes it useful for DJ and PA work is the Mic/Line switch on the transmitter: it will carry a line signal as well as a microphone. Two channels means two mics, or sending the left and the right of a stereo feed to powered speakers without running a cable across the garden. We use it at weddings and corporate events in Cabo Roig, Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja, Alicante and Murcia.
